What body fat percentage is ideal?
The ideal body fat percentage for a man, 5% to
15% body fat is lean, while 15% - 25% is considered healthy for
a woman. Most people near the lower end of these ranges are elite
athletes in competitive condition, and it is seldom desirable
or practical to stay this lean in the off-season, which is why
the middle to upper body fat end of the range is more realistic
and sustainable for many.
