toxins build up in the body and tend to rest on the thighs. Try
to cut out tea, coffee and fizzy drinks and opt for decaffeinated
varieties.
Circulation
Cellulite on hips and thighs is a sign that the body is not flushing
away all the toxins, so try massage and skin brushing. Both improve
circulation and movement of lymph fluids. There are 3 types of
massage, Effleurage Massage, Petrissage Massage, Tapetment Massage.
1. Effleurage Massage: Lay your hand flat on your
skin and use long strokes towards heart. This will increase blood
flow.
2. Petrissage Massage: With your fingers use rolling and squeezing
movement with gentle pressure to help clear toxins from the muscles
and nerve tissue.
3. Tapetment Massage: With hands en 'karate chop' pose; briskly
and firmly tap the skin. This releases tension and prevents spasms.
To make your massage more effective dry brush
skin first. Starting with the knees make long sweeps up the side
of one leg, then up the front and along the inside and finally
round the back of the thigh. This removes dead skin cells and
boosts lymphatic flow under the skin.
